Programs We Offer
The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is designed to increase participants’ insight into key leadership/supervisory issues relating to employee motivation, effective leadership, coaching, performance management and building managerial excellence. The purpose is to increase the participants’ ability to lead their teams to high performance.
NATD’s Developing Team Leadership Skills (DTLS) Workshop is designed to increase participants’ awareness and understanding of leaders’ roles and responsibilities, to increase participants’ insight into effective leadership and management practices, to provide an opportunity to assess participants’ readiness for informal or formal leadership roles and to provide an opportunity to develop a variety of leadership and management skills.
NATD’s Team Building Workshop (TBW) is designed to assess team effectiveness, explore team members’ interpersonal styles, clarify the team’s mission and goals, identify key improvement areas and develop “Action Plans” to increase team effectiveness.
At NATD each program is tailored to reinforce the goals of existing management development, safety, or quality control programs. We determine your particular training needs through in-depth organizational assessments, resulting in a customized program.
NATD was founded in 1975 by Dr. Walter E. Natemeyer. NATD designs and conducts personal effectiveness, team building and leadership training programs. NATD is also a leader in the design and development of questionnaires to assess employee needs and satisfaction, professional competencies, management practices, and team/organizational effectiveness.

Dr. Natemeyer is an internationally recognized management author, consultant, and educator. Dr. Natemeyer was a management professor at Ohio University, the University of Houston, and the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He was the recipient of numerous teaching excellence awards. In addition to his teaching and consulting responsibilities, Dr. Natemeyer served as Director of the NASA-Johnson Space Center Management Development Program from 1976 to 1981. Dr. Natemeyer received his BBA. and MBA. degrees from Ohio University and his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Houston.
Dr. Natemeyer is a leading authority on “Situational Leadership,” employee motivation, strategic planning and team building. He has authored numerous books, articles, and training instruments on these and other management topics.
